O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection for the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 18.06.2021.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the property situated in Survey No.168/100 at Nanjikottai Village, Thanjavur District belongs to the petitioner's ancestors and he is in possession and in respect of that property, a dispute arose between himself and the private respondents and the petitioner has filed a suit in O.S.No.516 of 2010 before the District Munsif, Thanjavur and the third respondent and other people damaged the fence and hence, he has sent a representation dated 18.06.2021.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that based upon the representation sent by the petitioner enquiry was undertaken in C.No.482 of 2021 and during the course of enquiry it was found that due to the property dispute between the parties a suit in O.S.No.516 of 2010 is pending before the District Munsif, Thanjavur. So the parties were directed to work out their remedy in the pending suit and however, the respondent police warned the private respondents not to interfere in such illegal activities during pendency of the suit. On that basis, it came to be closed on 01.08.2021.

4. Since the representation of the petitioner was closed, nothing remains for consideration or direction in this petition and there is no question of granting police protection in the facts and circumstances of the case. Hence, this petition is disposed of.
