ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus to direct the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 22.08.2024 pending against the order passed by the second respondent in RDOSKL/1632/2023-A1 DATED 30.07.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The petitioner states that he is running a brick kiln at Survey Nos.915/1, 915/2, and 913/2 of Vishwanathaperi Village Part-I, Sivagiri Taluk, Tenkasi District. The petitioner states that the second respondent had passed an order on 30.07.2024, imposing a penalty on the petitioner to the tune of Rs.40,01,034/-. Challenging the same, he has presented an appeal before the District Collector on 22.08.2024. As the same is pending, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition.

3. I heard Mr.Sathish Kumar for the petitioner and Mr.S.Shaji Bino, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

4. Mr.Shaji Bino states that the appeal will be disposed of within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The said statement is recorded.

5. Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 22.08.2024 within a period of three

(3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 29.04.2025 NCC :
