Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely "Adal Padal Programme" scheduled to be held on 02.02.2017 at night in connection with "Maha Kumbabisheka Festival" at "Arulmigu Sri Adhi Sivan Thirukovil" at Silayaneri, Sanjeevi Nagar, Anaiyur Post, Madurai17 by considering representation of the petitioner dated 13.01.2017.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to grant permission for conducting programme of Adalpadal in the place mentioned in the petition on 02.02.2017, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that the petitioner has given a representation on 13.01.2017, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, the following order can be passed.

4.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, D-3, Koodal Pudur Police Station, Madurai is directed to look into the representation dated 13.01.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
