The petitioner has approached this Court to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.114 of 2023 dated 15.08.2023 on the file of the first respondent police.

2.Today(12.06.2024), when this Criminal Original Petition is taken up for consideration, Mr.M.Sakthi Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police submits that after completion of investigation in Crime No.114 of 2023, a final report has been filed before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Eraniel on 31.08.2023 through e-filing. However, the same has not been taken on file.

3.Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed with a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Eraniel to take the final report on file, which has been filed by the respondent police through e-filing within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the final report, in the manner known to law, if he is having any grounds.
