*********** [Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner submitted representations to the second respondent to erect manned level crossing at Gate No.60, Ponnapuram 17th Ward, Ayakudi Town Panchayat, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District. The representations dated 17.12.2016 and 27.03.2017 are stated to be pending on the file of the second respondent.

2. We have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent.

We direct the second respondent to consider the representations dated 17.12.2016 and 27.03.2017 on merits and as per law and taking note of the grievance raised by the petitioner and the other villagers. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
