These Writ Petitions have been filed by the petitioners for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to take necessary action on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 17.04.2017 with regard to pay the arrears of daily wages from May 2012 to October 2016 within a time stipulated.
2. Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent the Writ Petitions itself are taken up for final disposal.
4. Though the Writ Petitions are for issuing a Writ of Mandamus to give a positive direction to the respondents, the learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents, to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 17.04.2017.
5. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer, that is now sought before this Court by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners case, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- "The respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 17.04.2017, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
