ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police, in connection with a case in Crime No.196 of 2024, for the offence under Sections 120(b), 341, 342, 294(b), 324, 307, 302 and 506(ii) IPC, has filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 08.05.2024 at about 1.30 a.m., the accused persons waylaid the defacto complainant and his father, attacked them indiscriminately, due to which, the defacto complainant's father succumbed to the injuries. Hence, the case.

3. When this petition came up for consideration on 10.06.2024, there was no representation for the petitioner. Therefore, this petition was directed to be listed today under the caption "For Dismissal". Today, a representation is made on behalf of the petitioner seeking time.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) opposes for grant of anticipatory bail on the ground that this is a case of 302 IPC offence and there is a specific overt act as against the petitioner. 2/3

5. Considering the gravity of offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
