RESPONDENT/RESPONDENT Petition filed praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the petition filed therewith the High Court may be pleased to extend the time in Crl.O.P.(MD) No. 8562 of 2021 dated 07/07/2021 for surrender before the Judicial Magistrate, Andipatti, Theni District.

Order : This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.S.MUNIYANDI, Advocate for the petitioners and of Mr.P.KOTTAI CHAMY, Government Advocate(crl.side) on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- The petition has been filed to extend the time granted by this court in Crl.O.P(MD)No.8562 of 2021 dated 07.07.2021, for producing the sureties.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that due to Covid-19 pandemic situation, the petitioner is not able to arrange sureties and appear before the concerned Magistrate in time and hence, they seek for extension of time.

3. Heard the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) appearing for the State.

4. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and also the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation, this petition is allowed and the time is extended by ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, for the petitioner to comply with the order dated 07.07.2021 made in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.8562 of 2021.
