This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to grant permission and protection for Thappatam, Karagatum and Innisai Katcheri scheduled to be held on 23.05.2023, 30.05.2023, 31.05.2023 and 01.06.2023 at night with 68th year of Sri Muthumari Amman Temple Festival at Thuvakudi Malai, Thiruvarumbur Taluk, Trichy District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2023.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. By consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the representation was given to the first respondent and no order has been passed till now, hence the present petition has been filed.
4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation is disposed of, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner.
5. Accordingly, this Court directs the second respondent to consider of the representation of the petitioner, dated 15.04.2023 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and the rival claimants, if any with in a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
