This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for Innisai programme in the Ashta Bandhana Maha Kumbabishekam Festival scheduled to be held on 26.05.2023 at Arulmigu Amman Thirukoil, Paraseri, Villukuri C Village, Kalkulam Taluk, Kanyakumari District.
2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.
3. The learned Government Advocate contended that if Innisai programme is conducted, it would give rise to law and order problem.
4. Therefore, the petitioner is permitted to conduct Ashta Bandhana Maha Kumbabishekam for the petition mentioned temple on 26.05.2023. The respondents shall give police protection for conducting Kumbabishekam. This Court is not inclined to grant permission for conducting Innisai programme.
