Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd Respondent herein to consider the Petitioner society Application / Representation dated 29.08.2016 and accept and acknowledge the Form No. VII Submitted by the Petitioner Society for the period 16.08.2016 to 15.08.2018 forthwith.
ORDER : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S. V.MEENAKSHISUNDARAM, Advocate for the petitioner and of M/S.M.ALAGATHEVAN,Special Government Pleader R1 to R4 and M/S.S.V.NAGARAJAN,Advocate for R5 the court made the following order:- When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is represented by the learned Counsel for the petitioner that this Court, in M.P(MD) No.2 of 2014 in W.P(MD)No.19684 of 2014, dated 04.12.2014, has passed interim orders in similar circumstances. Therefore, the learned Counsel for the petitioner would urge this Court to pass similar orders pending disposal of the main writ petition.
2. Heard Mr.V.Meenakshisundaram, learned Counsel for the petitioner, Mr.M.Alagathevan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and Mr.V.Nagarajan, learned Counsel for the fifth respondent.
3. According to the learned Counsel for the petitioner, the day-to-day administration of the College would be affected in the absence of a proper Secretary/Correspondent for discharging the duties attached to the Office and oversee the affairs of the College.
4. In view of the submissions made, there shall be an interim direction, directing the respondents herein to permit the Joint Secretary of the Society, namely, Mrs.S.M.S.Mythili Manickavasagam, to function as Secretary/Correspondent of V.V.Vanniaperumal College for Women, Virudhunagar, to discharge her duties and to run day-today affairs of the College pending disposal of the main writ petition.
5. Post the main writ petition for final disposal in the third week of June 2017.
