PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to update and reflect the names and details of the beneficiaries who have been assigned house sites in Survey No.62/1 and 62/4 measured to an extent of 2.67.0 hectares and Survey No.61/2 and 61/6 it is measured to an extent 1.01.5 hectares of Ventheni Group, Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District in the official revenue records and on the online portal of revenue department / District Administration based on the assignment orders already granted vide proceedings in Na.Ka.A/407/2001 dated 14.06.2016, on the file of the third respondent and consider my representation dated 24.02.2025.

[Order of the Court was made by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.] The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to update and reflect the names and details of the beneficiaries who have been assigned house sites in Survey No.62/1 and

62/4, measuring an extent of 2.67.0 hectares and Survey Nos.61/2 and 61/6 measuring an extent 1.01.5 hectares of Ventheni Group, Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District in the official revenue records and in the online portal of Revenue Department / District Administration, based on the assignment orders already granted vide proceedings in Na.Ka.A/407/2001 dated 14.06.2016, on the file of the third respondent and consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2025. 2.Though the assignment order had been given to the petitioner by the third respondent on 14.06.2016, the fourth respondent / Revenue Tahsildar, so far, has not mutated the said assignment in the revenue records. Therefore, in order to get it mutated, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3.Heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, who, on instructions would submit that the fourth respondent, by his communication dated 17.04.2026, since has sought for some more time, to comply the request made by the petitioner, to mutate the revenue records as per the assignment order dated 14.06.2016. Hence, learned Additional Government Pleader seeks time to comply the request made by the writ petitioner.

4.Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the fourth respondent to get the transfer of land by way of assignment made in the assignment order dated 14.06.2016, in favour of the petitioner within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With this direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
