The petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to sanction Financial Assistance of Rs.10,000/- under Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Social Security and Welfare Scheme by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.02.2016. 2.Heard Mr.R.Sivalingam, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.G.Muthu Kannan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3.The case of the petitioner is that his wife Ponnammal passed away on 23.06.2013. As per the scheme called Tamil Nadu Agricultural Labourers - Farmers (Social Security and Welfare) Act 2006, the petitioner is entitled for Rs.2,500/- towards Funeral Expenses and Rs.10,000/- towards Financial Assistance. 4.The grievance of the petitioner is that though the Special Tahsildar(Social Security Scheme) under the control of the District Collector, has disbursed Rs.2,500/-, but he was not paid the Financial Assistance of Rs.10,000/-. Hence the Writ petition. 5.Considering the case of the petitioner and prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 15.02.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
