Common Prayer in WP(MD) Nos.5161 and 5528 of 2021: Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to cause release of the goods imported under Bill of Entry Nos.2485273 and 2485600 dated 25.1.2021 namely two-sided coated paper in rolls without any further delay or procrastination on their part.
For Petitioner : Mr.B.Satish Sundar in both cases For Respondents : Mr.B.Vijay Karthikeyan in both cases Standing Counsel COMMON ORDER [Order of the Court was made by M.DURAISWAMY.,J.] When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.B.Satish Sundar, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner and Mr.B.Vijay Karthikeyan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondents have complied with the orders of this Court made in W.A(MD)Nos.1176 and 1177 of 2021, dated 21.06.2021. The learned counsels further submitted that the Petitioner had executed a bond for the value of the goods and given a bank guarantee to an extent of 10% of the value of the goods. 2.
Since the learned counsel appearing on either side submitted that the respondents have complied with the orders of this Court, nothing survives for adjudication in these Contempt Petitions. Accordingly, the Contempt Petitions stand closed.
