.. Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for records pertaining to rejection order dated 22.06.2017 in Na.Ka.No.
356/Ka.Thu.Ka./ERame/2017 by the first respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents to give adequate police protection and to grant permission for conducting Rakla Race on 26.06.2017 at about 6" O Clock in festival of Arulmigu Angala Eswari Amman Thirukovil and Arulmigu Tharmmamuneeshwar Kovil at Rameshwaram Ramanathapuram District.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for records relating to the impugned order, dated 22.06.2017 passed by the first respondent and quash the same and also for giving necessary direction to the respondents to give permission and adequate police protection for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
conducting Rekla Race in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus.
2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has contended to the effect that Rekla Race mentioned in the petition is not permissible under law and further the first respondent, after considering the circumstances, has rightly rejected the permission.
4.Considering the representation made on the side of the respondents, the relief sought in the Writ Petition cannot be granted.
