Prayer : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the second respondent herein to expedite the investigation in Crime No.97 of 2020 dated 21.01.2020 and file a Final Report within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This petition is filed to direct the second respondent herein to expedite the investigation in Crime No.97 of 2020 dated 21.01.2020 and file a Final Report within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner is the second accused in Crime No.97 of 2020 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 323, 506(i) IPC r/w Section 4 of TNPHW Act and 3 of TNPPDL Act. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though he is accused in the above said crime, even after lapse of one year, investigation has not been completed so far. Because of the pendency of the case, he is not in a position to travel abroad seeking job. Hence, this petition. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that so far seven witnesses have been examined and he would seek two months time to complete the investigation. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.10546 of 2021 4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and file Final Report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After filing the Final Report, compliance Report must be submitted to the Registry of this Court.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
