ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Subordinate Judge, Devakottai, Sivagangai District, to expedite the trial and dispose of the suit in O.S.No.269 of 2020, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2.This Court, vide order dated 19.01.2026, had directed the learned Subordinate Judge, Devakottai, Sivagangai District, to send a year wise pendency report of the pending suits and in compliance of the same, the learned Subordinate Judge, Devakottai, Sivagangai District, had sent a report vide proceedings D.No.285/2026, dated 07.02.2026, annexing the breakup details with regard to the pendency of the cases arising from the year 2004 to 2026, which was addressed to the Registrar (Judicial) of this Court. From the perusal of the same, it is seen that the total number of pending cases is 3406 and the pendency of the cases in the year 2020 is 234.

3.Since the present suit is of the year 2020 and also considering the fact that the plaintiff is aged about 85 years, the learned Subordinate 2/4

Judge, Devakottai, Sivagangai District, is directed to expedite the trial and dispose of the suit in O.S.No.269 of 2020 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one year from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the aforesaid directions, the Civil Revision Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
