ORDER : The petition coming on for hearing on this day, upon perusing the earlier order of this Court dated 28.07.2021 and the requisition letter of the I Additional District Judge, Madurai, vide letter in D.No.7352/2021, dated 01.11.2021 and upon hearing the arguments of MR.G.MARIAPPAN, Advocate for the Petitioner, this court made the following order:

Today, this case is listed under the caption "Extension of Time for Trial Court".

2.It is evident from the records that this Court vide order dated 08.10.2020, has directed the learned I Additional District Judge, Madurai, to dispose of the trial in S.C.No.24 of 2020 within a period of nine months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, at request of the learned I Additional District Judge, Madurai, this Court vide order dated 28.07.2021 has granted three(3) months further time. The learned I Additional District Judge, Madurai, has submitted a letter dated 01.11.2021, stating that after summer vacation and after Covid-19 Pandemic situation totally 9 witnesses namely P.W.15 to P.W.23 were examined and now the case is adjourned to 08.11.2020 for examination of remaining witness and seeks further two(2) months time for disposal of the said case.

CRL OP(MD) No.10989 of 2020 3.Considering the reasons assigned, this Court is inclined to extend the time sought for. Accordingly, two (2) months time is granted to the learned I Additional District Judge, Madurai, to dispose the case in S.C.No.24 of 2020 from the receipt of copy of this order.
