ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family members, on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 20.06.2022.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that due to civil dispute, the fourth respondent threatening the petitioner with dire consequences. Hence, the petitioner sent a representation dated 26.06.2022 to the respondent police. But, till now no action has been taken. Hence, this petition has been filed.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that eighteen previous cases are pending against the petitioner. 4.Heard both sides.

5.In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to consider the representation, dated 20.06.2022 and take suitable action on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
