Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to take necessary action against the encroachers and also to remove the unauthorized encroachments put by them in Salakkal Kulam pond situated in S.No.Nos.787/1 and 788/3 at Velampadi Revenue Village, Aravakurichi Taluk, Karur District and its water flow channels situated in S.F.Nos.760, 761, 789 at Velampadi Revenue Village, Aravakurichi Taluk, Karur District and S.F.No. 17 18 & 20 situated at Inunganur Revenue Village, Aravakurichi Taluk, Karur District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2017 and also to ensure safety of the water resources 'Salakkal Kulam" pond situated in Velampadi Village belonging to the Government and usage by the villagers. ************ [Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner has filed this writ petition to direct the respondents to take action against the encroachers and to remove the unauthorised construction put up by them in Salakkal Kulam pond situated in S.No.Nos.787/1 and 788/3 at Velampadi Revenue Village, Aravakurichi Taluk, Karur District and its water flow channels situated in S.F.Nos.760, 761, 789 at Velampadi Revenue Village, Aravakurichi Taluk, Karur District and S.F.Nos.17, 18 & 20 situated at Inunganur Revenue Village, Aravakurichi Taluk, Karur District by considering the representation dated 02.06.2017 and also to ensure safety of the water resources 'Salakkal Kulam" pond situated in Velampadi Village belonging to the Government and used by the villagers.

2.We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents. 3.We direct the third respondent to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 02.06.2017, on merits and as per law, after giving notice to the alleged encroachers. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
