The petitioner seeks reclassification of lands in multiple Survey numbers of Naranammalpuram Village Part-I, Tirunelveli District.

2. The petitioner states that the aforesaid lands are classified as residential Class-III, Type-I and, therefore, the guideline value thereof has been fixed at Rs.5,770/- per Sq.Mtr. On the other hand, it is stated that adjacent agricultural lands in Ayan Punja Survey numbers 694 to 751 are classified as Dry Manavar's lands Type-II and Dry Well Irrigation Type-II, and therefore, the guideline value thereof has been fixed as Rs.33.5/- per Sq.Mtr. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3. Although the petitioner has sought for a positive direction, learned counsel submitted that the registration authorities may be directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation.

4. Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned counsel for the State, accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents and submits that the registration authority may be directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation on merits.

5. Consequently, without going into the merits of the matter, the first respondent herein is directed to consider the petitioner's representation for reclassification and consequential downward revision of the guideline value and pass a reasoned order thereon within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, W.P(MD).No.13754 of 2021 is disposed of on these terms without any order as to costs.
