Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first and second respondents.

2.The petitioner is the tenant in the petition mentioned shop. The petitioner alleges that the private respondents herein are threatening him to vacate the premises. The petitioner has given a complaint before the second respondent. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner has not deposited the rent for the last five years. However, it is seen that there is an order passed in favour of the petitioner in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P(MD)No.10827 of 2020 O.S.No.371 of 2016 on the file of the Principal District Musnif Court, Srivilliputtur.

4.Be that as it may, when a complaint has been given before the second respondent, the second respondent ought to act on it. The second respondent is directed to conclude the enquiry within a period two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If cognizable offence is made out, the second respondent has to register an FIR. If no cognizable offence is made out, then the petition/enquiry shall be closed and the result intimated to the petitioner without delay. In any event, the entire exercise shall be concluded within a period two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The criminal original petition is disposed of on these terms.
