ORDER
Heard Mr.S Visvalingam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Ramesh, learned Government Advocate, for the respondents. 2.This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the first respondent i.e., the Additional Chief Secretary / Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's appeal, dated 08.11.2023.
3. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
4. The petitioner was appointed as Typist on compassionate ground on 11.10.2008. His name ought to be included in the approved list of Assistant for the year 2013 on par with his colleagues. However, his name was not included in the said list, since his service was regularised only on 2/5
04.09.2015. Challenging the same, the petitioner had preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 08.11.2023. Since no order has been passed so far, the present writ petition has been filed.
5. Since the petitioner has exhausted the appeal remedy, there shall be a direction to the first respondent i.e., the Additional Chief Secretary / Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Chennai to pass orders on the petitioner's appeal, dated 08.11.2023. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case or the claim of the petitioner and it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
