Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court Directing the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 18 percent per annum, for the period of delay from 01.08.2018 to 20.09.2019, in paying the amounts paid towards the terminal and pension benefits of the petitioner namely EPF Employees Contribution, Gratuity, Encashment of Earned Leaves and Commutated Value of Pension, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Honourable Court and without affecting his right to claim balance amounts towards those benefits and thus render justice. ORDER

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents made a submission that the order passed by this Court in the Writ Petition has been complied with by the respondents. In this regard, the first respondent has issued a letter to the learned Standing Counsel on 23.02.2022.

CONT.P.(MD)No.1077 of 2021 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that there are certain portion of amount, which are yet to be paid. In this regard, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents made a submission that the respondents have given an assurance that the amount will be settled soon.

3.Under these circumstances, the respondents are directed to ensure that as per their commitment, the balance amount to the petitioner will be settled without any further delay. Thus, this Contempt Petition stands closed.
