ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent No.1 and 2 disburse 90% the Provident Fund contribution paid by the petitioner in account No.10578611804 based on the application submitted by the petitioner dated 27.03.2026.

2. The relief in the said writ petition is sought by relying upon the scheme that was formulated under Provident Fund Act, 1952. However, the Provident Fund that is maintained by the respondent Corporation is not under the provisions of the said Act, but it is under a separate scheme. Hence, the relief as sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted.

3. However, according to Mr.S.Ramachandra Pradeep, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent, the petitioner is entitled for withdrawing an amount of Rs.5,50,000/- from out of the accumulated Provident Fund available to the credit of the petitioner and out of that Rs.2,00,000/- already disbursed to the petitioner and the 2/5

balance amount of Rs.3,50,000/- would be disbursed within a period of 2 weeks.

4. In the light of the above, the learned counsel for the petitioner also expressed his willingness to receive the balance amount of Rs.3,50,000/-, as the petitioner is scheduled to undergo surgery shortly.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to disburse the balance entitled amount of Rs.3,50,000/- to the petitioner within a period of one week from today. Without waiting for despatch of this order, the respondents shall disburse the amount within one week from today. The learned standing counsel shall instruct the respondents appropriately. No costs.
