ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the first respondent herein to transfer the investigation in Cr.No.64 of 2023 from the file of the second respondent to any other investigating officer for free and fair investigation in the light of petitioner's representation dated 09.05.2024.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he is the defacto complainant. It appears that the FIR in Crime No.64 of 2023 was registered on the basis of the complaint lodged by him on 26.05.2023 with respect to the attack suffered by the petitioner in the hands of the accused persons with knife. However, there is no progress inthe investigation. Hence this petition.

3. Learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) submitted that the petitioner knew who had actually stabbed him with knife. He was not able to identify them by names, but he can identify them in person. He also pointed out that the alleged offence had happened in a forest area. 2/4

4. Heard either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. In this regard, the second respondent police is directed to conclude the investigation as expeditiously as possible within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent is directed to monitor the same and the second respondent is directed to appraise the progress of the investigation every Friday to the first respondent.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
