O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to settle all the monetary benefits by promoting the petitioner as Assistant from the date on which his juniors were given promotion with all attendant benefits by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 25.10.2015.

2.Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthaiah, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

3.Heard Mr.V.Panneer Selvam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthaiah, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

4.Though the Writ petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus to give a positive direction to the respondents, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 25.10.2015 and dispose of the same on merits within a time stipulated by this Court.

5.Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer now sought before this Court by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 25.10.2015, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
