Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.06.2017 seeking permission and give police protection to conduct the temple festival namely "Arulmigu Srivinayagar, Sri Murugan, Sri Kaaliamman, Sri Mariamman, Sri Manthai Muniandi" from 02.07.2017 to 04.07.2017 situated in Naagaiya Kottai Village, Vedasanthur Taluk, Dindigul District.

O R D E R

*********** [Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner filed this Writ Petition to direct the police to grant permission for conducting the festival from 02.07.2017 to 04.07.2017.

2. In view of the expiry of the period indicated in the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, nothing survives for adjudication at this point of time. It is always open to the petitioner to submit application before the police and the Revenue Authorities for permission sufficiently in advance. This order disposing of the Writ Petition on account of the expiry of time, would not stand in the way of considering such application.

3. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observation. No costs.
