ORDER

The petitioner seeks the expeditious disposal of the revision (wrongly described as an appeal) filed by him before the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai District.

The petitioner states that by order dated 13.08.2019, the Revenue Divisional Officer cancelled the patta issued in favour of the petitioner without putting the petitioner on notice and without a personal hearing. As a consequence thereof, it is stated that the patta has also been mutated in the name of an another person. The petitioner further states that the revision petition was filed on 03.09.2020 and that an interim order was granted on 17.09.2020, but that the revision has not been disposed of till date. The present writ petition is filed for the expeditious disposal of such revision.

3. Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned counsel for the State, accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents and states that the second respondent may be directed to dispose of the revision on merits within a reasonable time frame.

Accordingly, without going into the merits of the matter, the second respondent herein is directed to consider and dispose of the revision petition filed by the petitioner herein against the order dated 13.08.2019 of the third respondent in respect of the property bearing S.No.41/1, 39/1B, 39/1D and 45/1A of Sangamangalam Village of Arasanenthal Group, Manamadurai Taluk in Sivagangai District.

Before disposing of such revision, a reasonable opportunity shall be given to the petitioner and to all parties thereto. Such revision shall be disposed of within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. W.P.(MD).No.13737 of 2021 is disposed of on these terms without any order as to costs.
