O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) This writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents to bring all the quarry lease sites and the exit points of such quarry sites in Kanyakumari District under CCTV Coverage.

2.In this regard, the petitioner has already submitted a representation on 20.05.2017. The grievance of the petitioner is that on account of lack of round the clock monitoring, there is unlawful removal of the quarried minerals. This leads to large scale cheating and consequential loss of revenue of the State. If CCTV cameras are installed and there is total monitoring, it would not be possible to indulge in illegal transporting of minerals. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.We find some force in the said submission. But it is not for us to issue the direction now sought for straight away. It is for the authorities to look into the matter. We therefore direct the second respondent to consider the representation dated 20 May 2017 submitted by the petitioner. The second respondent shall pass orders within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
