ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal in Na.Ka.No.E-2456255/2024/H, dated 29.08.2024 pending on the file of the first respondent.
2.It is the case of the petitioner that he purchased the property situated in Survey No.259/14 (old Survey No.259/5) measuring an extent of 1215 Sq.ft in Kovilpappakudi Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai, from second respondent by way of a registered sale deed dated 21.04.2017. However, during UDR Scheme, the survey number of the property has been wrongly mentioned. It is also stated that the fourth respondent herein, after obtaining no objection from third respondent, changed the patta in his name. Therefore, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.E-2456255/2024/H seeking correction in the revenue records. The said appeal was filed on 29.08.2024. Since there was no progress, the petitioner has come before
this Court seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal within a time frame.
3.M/s.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the first respondent, would submit that enquiry has already been completed and appeal will be disposed of within a period of two weeks.
4.The said statement made by the learned Additional Government Pleader is recorded and the first respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 29.08.2024 in Na.Ka.No.E-2456255/2024/H within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
