This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the Page No. 1 of 4
respondent to remove the name of the petitioner from CCTN portal of the respondent in connection with Crime No.534 of 2018 within the time stipulated by this Court by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 05.03.2025.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that when the petitioner applied for Passport, the same was rejected stating that "Police Report Adverse". Earlier, Crime No.534 of 2018 was registered as against the petitioner, due to which after completing investigation, the Police filed Charge sheet and also the Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam had taken cognizance in C.C.No.274 of 2020. While so, the petitioner filed Crl.O.P.(MD) No.13249 of 2020 to quash the proceedings against the petitioner and the same was allowed. In spite of the same, the respondent Police has not removed the petitioner's name in CCTN Portal. Hence, he could not obtain passport. While so, the petitioner sent a representation dated 05.03.2025 to the respondent, but the same has not been considered.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner was received and Page No. 2 of 4
the same is under consideration. They will consider the same and dispose of the same.
4. Since the representation of the petitioner is under consideration by the respondent, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation in the light of the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P. (MD) No.13249 of 2020 dated 24.11.2023, within one month from the date of this order.
5. With the above said direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
