O R D E R

This petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent to grant permission to the petitioner for providing Annathanam from 23.05.2025 at 7 p.m. to 1.00 a.m. of 24.05.2025 in the Muthur Sri Muthukottai Muneeswarar Elai Makkal Mahal on the eve of the Vaikasi Festival of Muthur Sri Muthukotai Muneeswarar Temple, Situated in Muthur, Ilayangudi Taluk, Sivagangai District by considering the petitioner's representations dated 12.04.2025 and 23.04.2025.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a resident of the village and the villagers decided to conduct Vaikasi festival and thereby, they decided to conduct Annathanam on 23.05.2025 at 7 p.m. to 1.00 a.m. of 24.05.2025. Hence, they sent a representation to the respondent on 12.04.2025, but the same has not been considered. Therefore, he filed this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent would submit that they received the representation of the petitioner for Page No. 2 of 5

conducing Annathanam on 12.04.2025 and the same is under consideration and they will pass orders positively.

4. This Court heard both sides and perused the records.

5. According to the petitioner, he sent a representation to the respondents to grant permission for conducting Annathanam on 12.04.2025, but the same has not been considered and the respondent also admitted the receipt of the representation of the petitioner and the same is under consideration. Hence, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.04.2025 and pass appropriate orders by imposing appropriate conditions in accordance with law.

6. With the above said directions and observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
