Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent to direct the 2nd Respondent to issue separate patta to the petitioner for an extent of 0.00.50 Areas in Survey No.17/19B2 of Maittanpatty Village, Kallikudi Taluk, Madurai District from Joint Patta No.1611 based on his representation dated 25.1.2024 within stipulated time limit as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to issue separate patta and dispose of the representation dated 25.10.2024.

2. Considering that the petitioner's name is reflected in joint patta and the petitioner has now made a request for issuance of separate patta, it would suffice to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.10.2024 and after conducting due enquiry, giving fair opportunity to the petitioner and other pattadhars, the second respondent shall pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that enquiry has already been conducted. In such event, no further fresh enquiry is required.

3. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
