By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. This writ petition has been filed challenging the lapse on the part of the first respondent in disposing of the proposal sent by the third respondent dated 01.11.2019, on the applications of the petitioner, dated 21.02.2014 and 09.08.2017 respectfully, for compassionate appointment.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would fairly submit that appropriate direction may be issued to the first respondent to dispose of the proposal sent by the third respondent, dated 01.11.2019.
4. The petitioner has made applications to the third respondent on 21.02.2014 and 09.08.2017 respectfully, requesting him to provide https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P(MD).No.13687 of 2020 compassionate appointment to the petitioner, due to the death of his father viz., R.Pandian. Thereafter, on 01.11.2019, the third respondent has sent a proposal to the first respondent through the second respondent and the same is pending for the past eleven months. It appears that there is a lapse on the part of the first respondent in disposing of the proposal dated 01.11.2019. Therefore, this Court directs the first respondent to dispose of the proposal made by the third respondent, dated 01.11.2019, for providing compassionate appointment to the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, without any further delay in its decision making process.
