O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed for quashing the FIR in Crime No.23 of 2020 registered on the file of the first respondent.

2.The defacto complainant is the wife of the first petitioner. The defacto complainant is present before this Court and she is duly identified by Mr.T.Muthupandiammal, WHC 3233, attached to All Women Police Station, Thriuparankundram. The parties have arrived at amicable settlement. The jewels of the complainant have since been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P(MD)No.11506 of 2021 returned to her. A petition under Section 13B of Hindu Marriage Act was also filed and the marriage has also been dissolved. A compromise memo has also been filed. In meanwhile, the second petitioner/Ulaganathan passed away on 10.09.2021. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, no purpose will be served in keeping the prosecution alive. The impugned FIR is quashed and the criminal original petition is allowed.
