This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to give permission and police protection for conducting Temple Festival of 'Arulmigu Sri Jambudurai Amman Temple' situated at J. Mettur, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District scheduled to be conducted from 28.05.2025 to 31.05.2025 based upon the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2025.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the the members of the J. Mettur Jambudurai Amman Temple Welfare Trust and the villagers have decided to conduct the Temple Festival, namely, Arulmigu Sri Jambudurai Amman Temple' situated at J. Mettur, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District from 28.05.2025 to 31.05.2025. Therefore, they sent a representation dated 22.04.2025 for grant of Page No. 2 of 4

permission and police protection, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner's representation is under consideration with the 3rd respondent and they will conduct enquiry and take appropriate action, in accordance with law.

4. Recording the above said submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the petitioner's representation is pending with the 3rd respondent, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.04.2025 and take appropriate action, in accordance with law within a period of one week from the date of this order.
