The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to defreeze the petitioner's current account bearing A/c No.914020046405960, maintained with the first respondent Bank, by considering the petitioner's e-mail representation dated 23.10.2024.

2. Mr.K.Madhanraj, the Relationship Manager of the first respondent, Axis Bank, appeared in person before this Court today.

3. The petitioner's bank account bearing A/c No.914020046405960, maintained with the first respondent Bank, was frozen at the instance of the second respondent, namely, the Inspector of Police, Patdi Police Station, Surendranagar District, Gujarat, based on a complaint lodged by one Ashokbhai Dhulani.

4. It appears that the petitioner had certain transactions with the complainant, which have been settled inter se between them. To that effect, an e-mail was also sent by the complainant to the first respondent Page No. 2 of 5

Bank along with an attachment on 07.09.2024, wherein it has been stated as follows:

Respected Sir/Madam Please find below the settlement details for the transaction amount of Rs.3949 funds have been settled with UTR CB0056597526 the total settlement amount is 9770. Please note that we have settled the funds in bulk to he merchant account so please only lien the disputed amount.

5. However, in the absence of any instructions from the second respondent Police, the petitioner's bank account remains frozen pursuant to the complaint. Mr.K.Madhanraj, the Relationship Manager of the first respondent Bank, has produced copies of the e-mails before this Court.

6. Considering the documents filed before this Court, and taking into account the fact that the dispute between the petitioner and the person with whom the petitioner had transactions has been settled, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to defreeze the petitioner's account forthwith.
