Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission to perform the cultural program of 'Nadana Natiya' 01.02.2017 and 02.02.2017 night at Sri Kottai Vinayagar, Sri Meenakshi Sundreswar and Parivara Deivangal, Kambanoor, Thirupathur Taluk, Sivagangai District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.01.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.K.G.Arun Kumar For Respondent : Mr.D.Muruganandam, Additional Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondent to give necessary permission for conducting Nadana Natiya on 01.02.2017 and 02.02.2017 in the place mentioned in the petition, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.D.Muruganandam, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondent.

3.It is seen from the records that on 05.01.2017 a representation has been given to the respondent, but the same has not been considered and therefore this Court is inclined to pass the following order.
