JUDGMENT

(By G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) Heard both sides.

2.The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the official respondents brought to our attention several subsequent developments that have taken place in this case. He pointed out that in the National Commission for Allied and Health care Professions Act, 2021, the practice of acupuncture has been included under the category "other care professionals". He also drew our attention to the notification dated 26.09.2024 issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Department in this regard.

3.At this stage, the learned counsel for the appellant submitted that he may be permitted to withdraw the writ petition itself with liberty to work our his remedy in the manner known to law.

4.This writ appeal and the writ petition are dismissed as withdrawn. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
