ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N.KIRUBAKARAN,J.) The petitioner has come before this Court by filing this writ petition seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's complaint No.250/2020, against the second respondent for the alleged professional misconduct committed by him.

2. The petitioner, alleging professional misconduct, gave a complaint to the first respondent against the second respondent in complaint No.250/2020. However, no progress has been made, which compelled the petitioner to approach this Court by filing this writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.S.Ramasundarvijayraj, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Niranjan S.Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent.

4. Notice to the second respondent at this stage is not necessary, as this Court only directs the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's complaint at the earliest.

5. Mr.Niranjan S.Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent would submit that the complaint of the petitioner has been placed before the General Body of the Bar Council on 30.07.2021 and it took a decision to refer the matter before the disciplinary committee and the committee is yet to be decided.

6. In view of the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent, the first respondent is directed to decide the allottment of the case to the disciplinary committee and thereafter, after hearing both parties, appropriate orders shall be passed at the earliest, by the Bar Council.

7. With the above observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
