: Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission to perform the program of 'Adal Padal' on 02.07.2017 night at about 07.00 PM to 12.00 AM at Arulmigu Andranachiyamman Thirukovil situated in Adugapatti, Thulaiyanoor Post, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukottai District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.06.2017.

*********** [Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] The petitioner seeks for issuance of a direction to the respondent to grant permission to conduct cultural programme on 02.07.2017 night at about 07.00 PM to 12.00 AM in connection with a temple festival and to the said effect, he has submitted a representation to the respondent on 23.06.2017. Since, the representation has not been considered, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Considering the fact that the representation is still pending with the respondent, this Court is not inclined to give any positive direction in this Writ Petition, but, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two days from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

3. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
