: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to grant appropriate permission and adequate police protection to conduct the "Pakthi Innisai Pattu Katcheri Program" on 06.07.2017 and 07.07.2017 on the eve of the Kodai Festival in the petitioner's village Temple namely "Arulmighu Sri Muppitari Muthumaalai Amman Temple" situating in Sivakalai Villlage, Srivaikundam Taluk, Tuticorin District based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.06.2017.

*********** [Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] The petitioner seeks for issuance of a direction to the respondents to grant permission to conduct cultural programme on 06.07.2017 and 07.07.2017 in connection with a temple festival and to the said effect, he has submitted a representation to the respondents on 20.06.2017. 2. Considering the fact that the representation is still

pending with the respondents, this Court is not inclined to give any positive direction in this Writ Petition, but, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two days from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

3. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
