ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.06.2017 for getting notional promotion and retirement benefits in the light of G.O.Ms.No.844 Home Dept. dated 03.06.1997 and G.O.Ms.No.15 Home Dept. dated 07.01.2010. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader, who took notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction.

4.The petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation, pointing out the date on which the petitioner was promoted as Head Constable. On receipt of such representation, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
