This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate NO.III, Thoothukudi to dispose the CC No. 1832 of 2023.

2.According to the petitioner, based on the complaint lodged by the second respondent, an FIR in Crime No.131 of 2019 was registered for the offence under Sections 294, 323 and 506(2) of IPC. After completion of investigation, the respondent police filed final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate NO.III, Thoothukudi and the same was taken cognizance in C.C.No.1832 of 2023. But the case is still pending without any progress. Hence this petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that now the case is posted for serving summons to the witnesses.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this 2/5

petition, this Court, without even issuing notice to the private respondent, is inclined to pass order.

5.Considering the prayer sought for in this petitioner and also considering that the case is pending from the year 2019, the trial Court is directed to expedite the trial proceedings in C.C.No.1832 of 2023 and dispose of the same, as early as possible without granting long adjournment beyond one week.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
