: Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to give necessary police protection and permit the petitioner to conduct the "Vallithirumanam Drama" scheduled on 07.07.2017 at 10.00 P.M and the Cultural dance program scheduled on 08.07.2017 at 10.00 pm in Arulmigu Seelaikari Amman temple festival at Koppilipatti, Thimmanatham Post, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District based on the representation dated 28.6.2017. *********** [Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] The petitioner seeks for issuance of a direction to the respondent to grant permission to conduct the "Vallithirumanam Drama" scheduled on 07.07.2017 at 10.00 P.M and the Cultural dance program scheduled on 08.07.2017 at 10.00 pm in connection with a temple festival and to the said effect, he has submitted a representation to the respondent on 28.06.2017. Since, the representation has not been considered, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Considering the fact that the representation is still pending with the respondent, this Court is not inclined to give any positive direction in this Writ Petition, but, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.06.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
