******** [Order of the Court was made T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] Heard Mr.N.Anandakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

2. The petitioner by way of this Writ Petition, styled as Public Interest Litigation, is before this Court stating that the third respondent, who is the Secretary of the Village Panchayat has been misappropriating the funds allotted under the MGNRS https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Scheme, whereby work is given to the villagers for 100 days for which they are paid daily wages as well as essential commodities. 3.According to the petitioner, there are several instances which can be pointed out to show that ineligible persons were shown as workers and the money has been swindled. One such instance is one Samuthram has been mentioned, she is a mentally challenged person and not capable of doing any work. 4.Since we are disposing of this Writ Petition without notice to the 3rd respondent, we do not propose to express any opinion on the allegations made by the petitioner in the writ petition. However, the second respondent being the Inspector of Panchayats, is directed to look in to the matter and do the needful in accordance with law.

5.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
