ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police, in connection with a case in Crime No.303 of 2024, for the offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 342, 324, 365, 387 and 506(ii) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Charging Exorbitant Interest Act, 2003, have filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant has borrowed a sum of Rs.3,60,000/- from the accused and paid a sum of Rs.3,600/- per day as interest. Till now, the defacto complainant has paid a sum of Rs.4,14,000/- as interest for the amount he has borrowed. However, the accused have demanded for exorbitant interest, attacked him using arms, abused him using filthy language and threatened him with dire consequences. Hence the case. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent 2/3

Police submits that the accused have demanded exorbitant interest from the petitioner and during investigation, it is came to know that the petitioner has returned the amount he has borrowed.

5. Considering the nature of offence, this Court is not inclined to grant any relief to the petitioners.
