[Order of the Court made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] The petitioner is before this Court challenging the proceedings of the respondent dated 27.06.2017, rejecting permission for conducting Kabaddi Tournament on 01.07.2017 and 02.07.2017, citing law and order issue.

2.Exercising the jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, we cannot substitute our opinion to that of the opinion of the police authority as regards the law and order situation prevailing in the area. Admittedly, no malafie has been alleged against the respondent. Therefore, we cannot set aside the order of the respondent on the grounds raised by the petitioner. However, we grant liberty to the petitioner to approach the Deputy Superintendent of Police, having jurisdiction over the area by way revision and if the same is submitted, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

concerned Deputy Superintendent of Police shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. 4.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
