[Order of the Court made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] The petitioner is before this Court challenging the proceedings of the respondent dated 13.06.2017, rejecting permission for conducting Kabaddi Tournament on 15.07.2017, citing law and order issues in the entire district.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that for the past 14 years, Kabaddi Tournaments have been conducted in the same village without any untoward incident. 3.The respondent police cannot make a stiffing statement that because of the law and order situation, permission cannot be granted. We find the reason is vague and not tenable. Therefore, we set aside the impugned order of the respondent dated 13.06.2017 and directs the respondent to reconsider the application made by the petitioner dated 13.06.2017, taking note of the fact that during earlier years such events were conducted peacefully and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

proceed to pass appropriate order for granting permission to the petitioner to conduct the Tournament by imposing reasonable conditions.

4.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
